Happy Sunday everyone! Yesterday turned out to be a really good Saturday. I went for a 5K run with some people in my running group. After that, we took the car to the carwash, and went grocery shopping.
After going back to the house I lived in when I went to high school, I am beginning to wonder if you really can go back. It seems like the older you get, the more you get tied down with responsibilities , and a part of me still longs for the day when our schedules could be as open as our hearts.
I just watched the episode of Sex and the City where Carrie and Adian split up for the second time because Carrie wasn't ready for marriage. Carrie kept on wondering if she was missing the bridal gene. I have often wondered if I am missing that gene too sometimes. Or, does all that go out the window when you meet the right person? I have to admit Shakespeare was onto something when he said "reason and truth keep very little company nowadays." It is as true now, as it was back then.
Anyway, today it was the start of the workweek for me. I worked from 9:30-6, and I will be working until I am off on Friday. It was one of those days where it rained in the morning to the point where a race that was supposed to go on got cancelled, and when I got out at six tonight, the sun was out. That is the thing about San Antonio, if you don't like the weather, all you have to do is wait a few minutes, and it will change.
Love you all,
-Donna
