Washington day 1

Well I somehow made it to Washington folks.  I got off my plane a little sooner than planned because my flight took off earlier to beat the weather since it was starting to drizzle when I was trying to take off.  On the flight I couldn't help but think, flying isn't what it used to be.  On the flight I was on, it would have cost me 8 dollars  just for a pad to watch movies on while you are on the flight. I remember being used to watch them on a screen from my seat, for free. Now they charge for everything aside from pretzels and coke, coffee , or water. Now I am at the Sea-Tac International airport  waiting for my moms plane to show up, so we can go to Teddys.  It feels like I never left Washington state honestly.
I couldn't help but wonder why I agreed to go as soon as my mom said she was going to Tacoma. I guess I needed a break from my routine.   That is the thing about routine. You need a break from them and then you're happy to get back to them .   I know when my trip is over I'll be glad to get back to my bed,Scott and everyone  else in San Antonio.
I have no clue what my official plans are aside from running and where I am going. But we will see what adventures await.

training done...

Well folks, I got done with the mandatory training I had to do for my company.  Hopefully all the changes that are going to happen are for the better, and it seems like it so far. It felt weird not having to go into the office today, after having to go for the last two days.  It was fun learning about different personality types. I learned I am an amiable-expressive.
It was fun being able to hang out with my co workers while we got the training done.  We got free lunch, and they let me drink as much office coffee as I could.  Today, it was back out in the field, and back to having to buy my own coffee.
After work, I  got some of my packing started.  I still have some last minute stuff to pack. But I will be able to tomorrow and Friday, time permitting. As I was getting my things together, I couldn't help but remember the last time I was in Washington was when my grandmother died.
I have to admit, my grandmother was the reason I got to go to Yakima every summer growing up.
My grandmother didn't mind me spending hours in our backyard pool, introduced me to all our relatives there and liked having people over.  She would always be like sit down, and have a pop.
If I am an amiable-expressive it's because of her. (Since my grandmother would buy me lattes everytime I would go on an errand with her, she is also the reason I would drink most of the office coffee. *hehe*)

slowly coming along...

Hi everyone!
It's been a crazy weekend. Flipside played at Boozehounds this Friday. The guy who usually played bass is the lead singer now. Saturday after my shift at Six Flags, Scott and I went to Jim's for coffee and a late night snack. Today after work, Scott and I went for tacos, and then I went on a six mile run.
Well,  things are slowly coming into place for my trip. Next Friday, I will be dropped off at my moms house. Then,  when I return on Saturday night, moms friend Jim will be picking me up when I get home on Saturday night. I will be going to Tacoma for the marathon, I will go to Yakima for a few days, then ,alas it will be time to go back to Texas.
Right now I am wondering when I'll be able to pack though.Tomorrow and Tuesday I have to go to the office for some corporate training . Then ofcourse I have to get some more hours in before I head off , so it's going to be a busy workweek.
I promise to blog while I am in Washington, so you know about my adventures, or misadventures while on my trip.  I am mainly just looking forward to seeing everyone there, and seeing the state again. Last summer I went to the east coast, so this time I will be traveling to the west coast.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good Sunday, and a good start to their workweek.
Love you all

Calm before the storm....

Hello everyone!
It has been a really busy few days.  On Friday after going to the gym in the morning with Scott, I had to swing by the office to get a bracelet so I could get into Oyster Bake the next day. After that, I had a shift to work at Southpark, then Scott and I ended up listening to "Whiskley Bliss" at BoozeHounds.
Then on Saturday morning, I worked Oyster Bake.  I was at the right booth to get a decent amount of leads anyway. But , after I got off work at five my coworkers who worked at our other booth where showing me all the free swag they got. So it was a case of more leads, or more free stuff. Hmm.. that is always hard to decide. Leads mean more money, or at least the opporotunity to work cool events, but if you know me, you know I love free swag too. The struggle is real. *hehe*
After Oyster Bake, my co worker Liz and I got ready to see our marketing director, Greg perform in "Around the World in 80 Days."  (While I was at the office on Friday, he gave Liz and I complimentary tickets. Liz was interested in going because she has read the book, and I am a theater minor, so I just like any kind of show. *hehe*)  I introduced Liz to the Bucee's rest stop where we stopped to change, and get some food, because it is the worlds best rest stop. I love the nice big bathrooms, all the food there is really good, and for us it was the perfect place for us to stop, and get ready. We ended up getting to the theater just minutes before the show started because Lizs gps took us ten minutes away from where the theater actually was.
But we still found it in time. There was complimentary wine for people to drink while watching the show, on top of soda, and snacks on sale. It makes we want to get involved in theater again, because I really haven't done a show since I moved back here from Washington.  Mainly it's because if I haven't been working, I've been having to work on my weight, and I just haven't.  I am still wondering if now is the right time to get back into the arts.
Sunday, after my shift at Six Flags, I ended up seeing my mom that evening. We went to R.E.I. to get supplies for our upcoming race, and then we went to Texas Land and Cattle because my mom had a beef council meeting there. At the meeting they talked about what the runners there could do to spread the word about the benefits of beef , and what would make it easier for them to do that, ect.
All I know is it was nice to have steak for dinner that night.
Normally I have fish , or chicken when I eat , so I decided to have some while I was there. *hehe* The only part that sucked about that night is because of the weather my allergies where really bugging me. We ended up starting at Walmart on the way home, and got some food, along with some allergy medicine before we parted ways.
Not too long after I got home, I took two benedryll, and that knocked me out . Today I was off, so I went to the gym with Scott, and we are about to eat dinner. Yeah for dinner! With the rain, it was a nice day to just relax, and work out. I believe next week, I will be going to the office for a few days for some training, and after that I will be taking off. So this week will be the calm before the storm.
I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Love you all .

I got home just in the nick of time....

Hello everyone!
Well it was a crazy night as most of you know. It hailed throughout the night. I ended up getting home literally right before the rain started.  I worked at Southpark mall last night until 8. While I was waiting for the bus to come, it was getting dark, and  starting to rain. Then Scott picked me up at Randolph Park and Ride at 9:15. By that time, it was raining. Then it started to hail while I was taking a shower. At first I thought Scott was just working on something, and then when I stepped out of the shower I heard the hail. Scotts car was covered up, so no damages done to the truck, but a porchlight did get busted.
I hope everyone is ok despite the crazy weather last night. I hope anyone whos car or property got damaged are able to get it fixed up as quickly as possible, and remember you're more important than anything that has to be replaced.
Love you all

I really do need to slow down a little...

Hi everyone!
Well, this past Saturday I worked at the Poteet Strawberry festival on Saturday until 4.
It was cool. There was strawberry jam, strawberry necklaces, people trickriding on horses, a carnival , strawberry shortcake and even a guy dressed up as a strawberry.  I was just a little dissapointed because after my shift, my co worker and I tried to buy some strawberries to take home with us on the way out, and by the time we got there, they where sold out already. :0(  We where like how can you run out of strawberries at a strawberry festival? But there where plenty of booths selling turkey legs, tacos, strawberry shortcake or funnel cake though.   Then it took us at least two hours to get back to San Antonio from Poteet because of festival traffic. ( Long story short- it always takes forever because Poteet is always packed when the strawberry festival is going on, and there's only one country road to go in and out of the fairgrounds, so there you go.)  After I finally got home, Scott and I went to Jims to get dinner.  I obviously wasn't much company at that time. I  was falling asleep at the booth, it took forever for me just to eat my chicken and the tortilla soup I ordered. Then as soon as we got home, I fell asleep until it was time for me to get ready for work this morning.
Sunday, I worked at Six Flags until the parked closed, and yesterday I worked the evening shift at Ingram Park Mall.  It was slow, but I got my mothers day gift already. So yeah I am a good daughter after all. *hehe*  But I think the fact that I was so tired Saturday is a sign I do need to slow down at least a little. Hopefully I can figure out where the fat needs to be cut.
Love you all.

Friday night blog

Hello everyone! Happy Friday. I hope everyone is everyone a good day so far.  Today I worked at Southpark Mall, then after that, I know Scott and I will be going out to Boozehounds for a little bit. We just had dinner, and he is just about to start getting ready. Then Saturday I will be at the Strawberry Poteet festival. I am looking forward to seeing all the strawberry stuff for sale.  It reminds me of when my grandparents and I would go to Mt. Vernon, Washington (state) , and we would take home several bushels of strawberries grown there, then grandma would make strawberry shortcake with the strawberries I didn't eat. *hehe*  Good times, good times. Then Sunday, like a boomerang, I will be back at Six Flags.
I am just hoping my allergies can handle the weather. With the high oak, I feel like you might as well just  put an IV of Benadryll to my arm sometimes. Seriously, if I don't take allergy medication, or it gets really humid, I need a tissue almost every five seconds- it isn't pretty.
I am just looking forward to the end of the month. Between running around- literally and metaphorically it will be nice to see everyone back in Washington.  I'll get to catch up, run with my mom, and there will be a Starbucks or some coffee stand around every corner, so life will be good. Plus, I can tell I just need a vacation.
Love you all.

Sometimes you get what you need...

Happy Monday everyone.
This weekend went by quicker than I thought. Saturday  I worked at Six Flags and then the Spurs game that night. Apparently, they where trying to get everyone excited about Fiesta, because everyone working at the At&T center where wearing badges that said "Los Spurs" on it, and Miss Fiesta was there walking around.
Sunday apparently, things ended up working out for the best. I was scheduled to work until 7 at Six Flags, and my mom said she had a meeting not too far from me until 6:30, so we where planning to meet up after I got off since she had something for me. Well, I got to leave work at 5 because it was slow at the park, and there wasn't a need for two greeters. I texted mom on my way to the enterance, and she was able to meet up with me right away. So, we got to meet up around 5:30, ended up going to her friend Jims house for a little bit, and then we ate at Bill Millers before parting ways so everything worked out like it was meant to be. Today turned out to be the usual. I ran while Scott worked. Then we ate lunch, and we just ate dinner. Tomorrow it is back to work for me. Between having to run long, and working , I feel like I have two jobs sometimes.  (Oy.)   I  think Washington will be a much needed break.
Love you all

Trifles

Hey everyone! It's Friday you know what that means- the end of a long workweek. Yeah! ^.^ Last night I worked at Disney on Ice, so I spent the evening outside the Alamodome talking to people wearing Disney shirts , and wondering how many little girls dressed up as Ana and Elsa from "Frozen." Everytime I work this event, it reminds me of when I worked at Walt Disney World, and makes me wish I where still a kid so I can run around dressed like a Disney Princess, and not get too many strange looks for doing so.  I had today off, so after I was done at the gym, I ended up watching Rush Hour 3 while Scott worked. It was nice just to have the place to myself for a little bit, and to be able to kick back. Later on tonight we will be celebrating a friends birthday. Woot!
Only part that sucked about today is the fact that Scotts truck had a water leak, which hopefully will be taken care of soon.  But we'll see, I guess. Tomorrow I work at Six Flags  and the Spurs game, and Sunday I work at Southpark mall. As spring rolls on, and my allergies continue to get to me, I am wondering about the little things in a relationship that keep people together.
Scott and I have lived together for a year and a half now. So there are some things that are starting to get to us, and we've gone from the getting to know one another stage to the comfortable stage. I know I am difficult. I need my morning run, and morning coffee to get going. *hehe* I can be very selfish, grumpy, and childish. But I am lucky to have someone in my life , who even when he's mad at me first thing in the morning, still always makes me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  If that's not love, I don't know what is.
