kicking off my sunday shoes...

Happy Thursday everyone!
Well today I ended up spending the morning at the gym with Scott. It was nice just to get back pretending like I know what I am doing there. I wrote a speech for my mom about hydration for runners, and she said it was good enough for her to use on Saturday yeah! lol It's nice to know my writing can still cut the mustard every now and then. With mom giving me the chance to write every now and then, I feel like some balance to the force is being restored.  When the weather cools, I'll be able to run around more in other places aside from Six Flags , so I am seeing the light at the end of my busy tunnel. I am just hoping I make it through fourth of July weekend. I know the park will be packed, and pretty much everyone at work has to pull a shift .
Tomorrow I work from 10-5:30 and Saturday I work from 10-8.   But ,after work on Friday, a coworker and I will be going to New Branfuels to see "Footloose." So, at least we will be able to kick off our Sunday shoes, for a little bit anyway. *hehe*

Just another manic Monday

Hello everyone!
Well, I am starting the beginning of the work week, by having the day off. This past weekend,I spent it at Six Flags. I worked from 10-6 on Saturday. After that, Scott and I got much needed food at Jims before we relaxed for the night. On Sunday after my shift, mom and I ended up going out for dinner . Today after breakfast, I went to  gym with Scott, then I worked on a project that I needed to get started on for my mom.
The air conditioning has been nice after the past two days.  I am still wondering what I am going to do fourth of July weekend aside from work. I want to do something aside from work. But , we will see what happens I guess.  Stay cool and hydrated everyone.
Love you all

It's Friday night...

It's Friday everyone.
Yesterday,I went to the staff meeting in the morning. As much as I don't go to staff meetings unless I need to, I do like how our director of marketing constantly reminds us it's not the words they give us to tell people when we're out of the field that sells. It's us. If that's the case it's nice to know being me is enough to get me where I am so far.  I had the rest of the day off, so I worked out with Scott at the gym, and watched  Alice in Wonderland until it was dinnertime. We got tacos, and now Scott and I spent the right of the night watching tv and drinking coffee .  (Yeah for those little traditions.)
I think my lunch with Jenn made me realize I am still figuring out where I want to go in every aspect of my life.  Physically, I've already completed two back to back marathons ,so I am still figuring out what I want to accomplish next. Job wise, I know I am at least blessed  that I have  a job that people think I am good at. Financially, I want to be able to continue to do races, travel, and go to the conventions I want, and not worry about money too much. We will see what happens regarding that.
Anyway, today it's back to work. I am scheduled at Six Flags all weekend. I hope I can survive the heat. But at least if nothing else, I'll hide until the water park until I cool off.
Love you all

midweek check in..

Hi everyone!
Well it is Wednesday. You know what that means-midweek day off! After I worked out at the gym, my friend Jenn and I went to Osakas for lunch. It was nice going out after a busy workweek.
Scott and I just had dinner ,and now I am enjoying being in air conditioning for the day.
I am really looking forward to fall. Then, I can really start preparing to run rock n' roll in December. (After all once the weather is cooler, I won't have an excuse to not go on those long runs. *hehe*)
Scott and I just had dinner. Now I am watching Young and Hungry on Netflix.  *hehe*
Yes, I started Netflix binging on it, because I would see it occasionally  on television , and I wanted to see if Josh and Gabi actually got together. Yes, I wanted to know if they did , or not.  *Hehe*
After trying to get runs in ,and working in the heat, I have decided to just try and keep in shape when I can, and enjoy not having a marathon for a few months down the road. Between running around for my races, and San Antonio for my job, I do need to stay in one place sometimes.  Running around, seeing the sights, and different events are fun. But, so is just having lunch with your friend, and drinking coffee while watching t.v. with your boyfriend.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Love you all

The long weekend, and missing tacos....

Hi everyone!
It has been a long weekend. I was literally at Six Flags from 10 a.m.-8p.m.  I don't know how I survived the heat. Then I worked at the Tequila, Taco, and Cerveza event at the freeman expo from 1:45-9 . It was basically a more expensive version of a weekend with your friends. The price to get in included 10 tequila samples, and there was alcohol, taco trucks , a music band playing, and  mexican wrestling.  Today I worked a shift at Southpark mall, and then saw my mom for a little bit.
We went to Lubys , and then went to H-E-B for a few things.
Now I am just watching  Young and Hungry on Netflix, and the basketball game is on.  It is nice just to unwind after these past few days. I have learned when it comes to working events, I have no luck when it comes to food. I wanted to get a couple of chicken fajitas on my break on Saturday, and both trucks I went to where sold out, and there were lines at the other trucks, so I just ended up eating a KIND bar while I was there. It was either that, or having to get back in line when I am not on break -oy. First they run out of strawberries on me at the Poteet Strawberry Festival, and they run out of tacos on me at a taco convention. It's no wonder Scott has to make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the mornings too. If he didn't I would starve to death at this busy events. *hehe*
Anyway I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Love you all

Day off

Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated. Today I had the day off, and I ended up going to Fogo De Chao for a birthday lunch with Jenn and Selma. It was my first time  going to that restaurant. We enjoyed the salad bar, and the meat the waiters where being served. Then, Jenn and I went to my office and La Madeline real quickly because I had to pick up something at my office , and Jenn had to look at her work schedule. After that it was time to part ways so Jenn could head to work. It is nice to know that despite full schedules, we can still get together for a meal every once in a while.  Life is crazy, but there is always time for friends. *hehe*
In the spirit of staying cool and hydrated , at work on Monday we found a spray bottle thanks to the folks in our Austin market. So, we where just misting the guests as well as each other with it. Also,  since my coworker Sarah had to wear an eyepatch for a while I said she was not just a pirate, but our captain. She said I was Gilligian so I made everyone else at our booth a character from that show. I said Margot was Ginger, our supervisor Mary was ofcourse Mary Anne, Thomas was Thurston Howeel and Amhad was the Professor. All we needed was the millionaires wife. *hehe*
But with me as Gilligan, it's no wonder we will never make it off the island.
 Have a good summer everyone.
Love you all

calling in and social media

Hello folks!
Well Saturday I ended up working at Six Flags. After work Scott and I met up, we had dinner at Jims . While we where there, we learned why one of our waitresses has not been there as much as she usually is. Long story short,  even before I met Scott, she usually served Scott and his friend Jason aka "frogmaster" when they would go to Jims to eat after dancing .  She would talk about how she's usually at the restaurant working.
As I was paying the bill, the waitress who served Scott and I tonight told us that the reason her coworker has not been there as much. Apparently she got a boyfriend and has started to call in frequently, but then on facebook you will find pictures of her with her boyfriend. *hehe*
Rule of thumb, if you get a new boyfriend and want to call in to work to spend time with him, make sure if you're going to post pictures on facebook, you don't have coworkers who can view your page. Chances are it'll be seen by someone you don't want seeing it. *hehe*
Even when Scott and I started seeing each other, I never used it as an excuse to call into work. I never used the fact I have to take bus everywhere as an excuse to call in. Like everyone else, I am just trying to make money. It just meant I was out later than normal sometimes since he likes to dance on the weekends. *hehe*
Today I worked the bridal fair . It was a smaller version of the bridal extravaganza. That meant free food samples, I got to work in air conditioning, and talk to blushing brides. Now it is time to relax before the beginning of another work week.
Hope everyone has a good week.
Love you all

The heat is on...

Hello everyone!
I swear I am going to get hot flashes before I am forty . OMG it was warm today. After I worked out with Scott, I ran an errand, and I needed water just to step outside. (Oy.)
Anyway, errand running and working out aside, it was a fairly tame day off. Scott and I got tacos for dinner. (Yeah for tacos!lol) Everytime we do, I can't help but think of the meme that says " I want a hot body, but I also wants tacos." The struggle is real. I know I haven't been able to get to the gym like I was ever since the park opened up all week. Unless, you are someone like Scott.  He has the body, so now he just wants the tacos. *hehe*
Now, the Penguins hockey game is on, and we're just settling in for the night. I have a busy weekend ahead of me.  Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day.
Love you all

School's out for summer! lol

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Well its been a busy couple of days. I worked from 11-8 at South park Mall.  Yesterday, it was back at Six Flags. I worked there from 10-5:30.I could definitely see the difference between this week, and last week. The water park is now open all week instead of just on the weekend, and there where definitely more people walking around the park. Last week, there where just a bunch of kids on their end of the year school trips to the park. (Woot! lol)
Today I had an errand to run since I am off, and my mom and I will be running around Six Flags on Friday night.  A friend of hers was telling her about the virtual reality roller coaster, and I get off work around the time she would be getting there anyway. Woot woot! I also told Selma I would get her into Six Flags for free as soon as she is feeling better since she didn't get too go to AKON after all. So if you need me, I'll be in the park!
I am just hoping that I survive the heat. At the office today, I said as much as I've been out in Six Flags in the summer, I have to get re accustomed to the heat . *hehe* But at least we don't have to worry about rain like we did last week. I am just hoping a trip to the beach is in the horizon soon since I didnt get to go memorial day weekend.
Anyway, Scott is making dinner and the news is on.  I am enjoying the next two days not being in the heat.  I hope everyone has a great summer!
Love you all

So..Friday night was not a good night to be a Cricket customer..

Hello everyone!
Well Friday night, like many others I was not able to do much chirping on my phone.  Cricket had a nationwide power outage so , alot of people, including myself where without phone service that night. I was frustrated, mainly because I need my phone for work. Plus, I just got my phone reactivated the night before.  As icing on the cake, I was working at Southpark Mall when the outage happened so I had to use facebook to get in contact with Brenda to make sure my ride home from there was still on her way. Anyway, after that, I went to BoozeHounds for a little bit to hear Texas Radio play.
I went home after the second set. My friend Robin wanted me to stay, and I did too. But  alas, working weekends means having to turn in a little early sometimes.(I know, boo!)  Today I worked 10-6 at Six Flags. Everyone was hoping for a good day because of the crazy week due to the rain.
I have to admit, I was glad, it was nice to have a day out there without having to worry about rain, or anything like that. As for Cricket, I wish they would have kept us updated more when the outage happened, because the only thing they really said was that they where working on the problem. However, I have a  in service phone now, and I got through a shift without it raining, so today was a good end to a random and crazy work week.

Call me maybe....

Well folks,
I now have a phone again- yeah! lol I still don't know what happened to my old phone really. I thought I had it when I went to work on Saturday. I noticed I didn't have it when I was on the bus, so I thought I just left it at home. After work, Scott and I never found the phone, so I called Cricket and ordered a new one.
My phone got delivered finally last night.  OMG waves are relief swept across my face as soon as it came in. Now I can actually clock in and out on my own phone again- woot woot! lol Long story short, I ordered my new phone before Memorial Day, and I thought it was going to be delivered on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went, the phone didn't get delivered. But yesterday afternoon it came in.  After running around without a cell these past few days, I have to admit, it was nice not looking down everytime I got a call or text message. But it's nice to be back on the grid again.
I know, moral of the story is Donna needs to keep a better eye on her phone. I will try.
Aside from that, things are starting to get back into full swing at Six Flags. It is open all week now, so  that's where I will be most of the summer. I am just looking forward to next week, when it's not supposed to be raining like it has been this week. Plus, all the schools will be out, so more people at the park. Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend.
Love you all
