Calm before the storm....

Well folks, Tiger will be going in for surgery tomorrow, bringing this long week to kind of an end.
At least after tomorrow Tiger will have gotten the care she needs. Scott has been taking good care of her, and I spoiled her by bringing home two bags of jerky from the RV and Boat show last night. So Tiger has had at least $12.00 worth of convention food. ha ha
Today I was scheduled to work at rolling oaks from 12-6, but I ended up going  working at Southpark today. (Such is the day in the life of Donna. haha) After that, Scott and I ended up getting some food at Jims, and now we are just relaxing for the rest of the night. Scott wants to be with Tiger, and I can't blame him.
Tomorrow I work at Southpark mall again, and it's still up in the air if we'll be going out or not later that night. It depends on Tiger.  So *crosses fingers*
Aside from that, preperations for the Superbowl are slowly coming underway. Scott put his Broncos hat out on top of the fireplace, and Superbowl Sunday we'll be having friends over to watch the game. Then, on Feburary 20th I have my marathon , so at least that means I'll get to pretend to burn off the chicken wings I'll be eating Superbowl Sunday. haha I'm still nervous because I didn't expect to do another marathon so soon after completing my first one. But we'll see how it goes. If nothing else, there's still nothing half about doing a half marathon right? Plus it'll be on the beach, so already yeah! lol Now it's time to finish up "Grease," and get some rest.
Happy Friday everyone. :0)

Another rainy Tuesday...

Hi folks! Well it's raining, its pouring , and Scott is taking a nap, kind of snoring. *hehe* This week has been crazy. Scott has found out that Tiger will need to have surgery, and so on Saturday he will be taking her in for that. It'll be nice to see Tigre back to her old self. I hate seeing her not eating, and just lying there under a blanket.  Today  I got some bills paid, and I went to the gym with Scott earlier this morning. I was actually glad my run got cut short. I went for a run while Scott was training clients to get ready for my upcoming race and his 11 o clock client cancelled, so he decided to work out then instead of noon like planned. I went to join him at 11 and when we left the gym it was raining.  Now, it is just time to relax the rest of the day. *hehe*
Sunday my friend Carrie came over for a little bit after work and cut my hair. I needed it because it has been at least a year since I got a haircut, plus new year, new haircut right? *hehe* It was the stereotypical the guys where watching football, while the girls where doing hair. *hehe* Aside from that, I am really looking foward to my race now. I can tell I am in need of a break.  Between Tiger, Scott freaking out about Tiger, and having to work doubles in malls in January, I need a little bit of a getaway.
I guess it goes to show you, things do seem to come at the right time.Hopefully I'll get some time to just walk on the beach. Because while running is fun, sometimes you just need to walk, and feel the water inbetween your feet.

Running with a purpose again...

It's going to be an interesting weekend. Tomorrow I work at Terrorfest at the Henry B Gonzalez Center, then Saturday I will be at MonsterJam all day. So my weekend will basically be scaring people, and loud monster trucks. *hehe* I am fortunate we have some events this weekend. I never feel like I do well at the malls during the week this time.
Right now, it seems like two folks in the house are recovering from something. I tried running today, but my stomach started hurting when I ran, so I had to cut it a little shorter than I wanted. Also, Tiger hasn't been as perky as she normally is. She doesn't eat like she usually does, and basically sleep more than usual too. Scott stayed home from work today because he was concerned about her. Hopefully it's jsut the weather messing with our systems!
Aside from that, folks it's offical. I am putting it on here to keep myself accountable, but I am signed up for another marathon. As of this afternoon, I am registered to run the Surfside Beach Marathon on February 20th with my mom.  It has been a while since we really talked , or saw one another because of our falling out. I know I wasn't perfect, and she wasn't either, but she will always be my mom. I know if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be who I am today. No matter what happens, it'll be fun just to get out of town for a day, and run on the beach.  I don't care about time. This 26.2 miles will be about reconnecting with my mom.
This came at the right time, because I feel like if I am going to be at the gym with Scott whenever I'm off, and he has a client I need goals to work on. *hehe* I know running just to keep in shape isn't a bad thing, but these kind of things keep me more motivated and make me push myself more.  So now it's back to hitting the pavement again, (hopefully not too hard), and seeing where the trail and waves take me. * Eye of the Tiger starts playing in Donna's head.*

Zombie attack!

Happy Wenesday! Today I went to the gym. I still get the feeling I'm going to get fat with all the doubles I've having to work in the malls.  I haven't been able to go like I was before . *Shrugs* Oh well, just keep going to the gym when I can ,and do what I can to keep the weight off.  That's all you do right? Anyway after the bridal I worked on Sunday, I went to 13th Floor right after. There, my friends and I where locked in a room with a few other people for an hour and we where supposed to figure out the clues to get the four keys that unlock the door.  In the room there's a zombie chained up there, and everytime he feeds the zombie is able to move around the room more, and if he touched you, it meant you where dead.  I survived, but the only reason I did was because I was small enough to hide behind other people when the zombie was walking around.  We found two of the four keys before time was up, so we didn't do terrible, but we still didn't survive the Great Room Escape. It was still fun though.*hehe* But, if you are locked in a room with a zombie wandering around, I apparently will need lots of help to survive. But, at least the zombie apocolyspe should not be happening for a while, and that is why I ran a marathon. My way of being prepared. lol
Speaking of being prepared, I just filed my taxes, so we'll see what happens now. I just had my wor w-2 and student loan stuff to file, so it was easy. So, we'll see what happens. Now it is dinner time.
Love you all

Still learning to just be me...

Happy Saturday everyone! I am just enjoying having the day off. Scott and I put up groceries, ate eggs and toast together, and then I went for a ten mile run while Scott watched football. He's happy because no matter what, one of his favorite teams will be going to the Superbowl.
Scott prides himself on being able to do ab exercises from the "Rocky" movies. My mom has qualified to run Boston, and I have an aunt in the Phillipines who has modeled before . Needless to say that feels like alot to live up to sometimes.  It makes me feel like I should be able to run  really fast, have abs of steel, and have the body of a Victorias Secret model. But alas, I am not as athletically gifted, or good looking as they are. haha . Even with all my weight loss, I still have a flat chest, wide feet, and I am known for having a mouth more than anything. haha.
But, maybe we should concentrate on our strengths more than what we can't do. I know that's something I am still working on myself. I just hope I am enough..

Now I see why I always see people with a Victoria's Secret bag ..

Now I can see why I constantly see  women in the malls with pink shopping bags.  *hehe* I bought my first bra from Victorias Secret yesterday. It's one of their sports bras I found for sale. Today  I wore it when I worked out with Scott, and went to spin class ,and  I really like it.  It's deifnitely a comfortable sports bra that will last through at least part of my fitness journey. *hehe*
Aside from that, today is just a day to relax , and spend the rest of the day at home.
I'm still worried I am going to get fat from all the doubles I have to work in the mall. Ack.
Anyway, Scott is watching football commentaries on the t.v. and I am still debating what to do with some of my clothes from the Phillipines. Some of them are too big for me at this point, but I don't want to just give them away either, because it's not like I just got them at the local Target you know?
Also, apparently we need to get jumpcables because the lasabel won't start now. (Oy.)  So hopefully that'll be taken care of before too long. Anyway, tonight I am going to start going through my closet and see what I can keep and what needs to be thrown away or donated to clean out the closet a little.
Have a good day all!

Christmas is offically over...

Well folks,
Scott and I finally put our Christmas tree and decorations up today. I love helping put up the decorations, but I always hate putting them away. I guess it's because it means the holiday season is offically over, it's time to go back to the gym to work off all the extra food we ate over the holidays , and get back into our work routine.  Although in my case I still say I don't have a work routine. I never know what event I am going to be at or when my day off is. But, if I did that would be boring. *hehe*
Aside from putting away Christmas stuff, today I ran, and Scott and I got some food for the week. (Yeah for food!) Later on we'll be going to see Charlie Bravo at Boozehounds.
The weather is a little bit windy and cool, but nice. This is a way to spend the day off. It still feels weird not having to go anywhere on a Saturday. But I am not going to complain about having a Saturday off. *hehe*
Last night Scott and I ended up seeing the New Star Wars movie. It was good, and I liked how the first time you see Han Solo again is in the Millennium Falcon, and they tied to the other Star Wars movies pretty well.
Anyway, now that I've seen the new Star Wars movie,  our Christmas stuff is down, and  most of my Christmas presents have been given away, I feel somewhat ready to tackle 2016. Lets see what it brings.

Happy Thursday

Hello! How is everyone? Today we had our first staff meeting of the new year.   He talked alot about how losing weight is everyones New Year resolution, and used how all the little things we do to lose weight as a metaphor for how all the little things we do for work- show up on time in uniform, ect . help us make more money. Yeah for making more money! *hehe*
Anyway, my new years had a good and bad start. Scott and I came home on New Years to our bathroom flooded because I forgot to turn a valve off on our toilet before we went out that night.
I feel like I should be banned from everything and do nothing but stay home after work at this point.  Oy but it will be fixed and life will go on.  I swear I am nothing but a bull in a china shop. I always have been, and always will be.
Anyway, I am just trying out my netflix account and watching an episode of Charmed on it, Scott and I just had dinner so life is good . *hehe*  I am glad I actually had a day off and I am looking forward to next month when rodeo is in town. It's slow at the malls right now.  While I was at rolling oaks I ended up buying a dress, wrap, part of Scotts  Valentines Day present, and a stuffed Snoopy. If it gets any slower I'll be broke. *hehe*
Anyway this new year I hope to continue moving forward in all that I do.
Take care everyone.
