It's going to be an interesting weekend. Tomorrow I work at Terrorfest at the Henry B Gonzalez Center, then Saturday I will be at MonsterJam all day. So my weekend will basically be scaring people, and loud monster trucks. *hehe* I am fortunate we have some events this weekend. I never feel like I do well at the malls during the week this time.
Right now, it seems like two folks in the house are recovering from something. I tried running today, but my stomach started hurting when I ran, so I had to cut it a little shorter than I wanted. Also, Tiger hasn't been as perky as she normally is. She doesn't eat like she usually does, and basically sleep more than usual too. Scott stayed home from work today because he was concerned about her. Hopefully it's jsut the weather messing with our systems!
Aside from that, folks it's offical. I am putting it on here to keep myself accountable, but I am signed up for another marathon. As of this afternoon, I am registered to run the Surfside Beach Marathon on February 20th with my mom. It has been a while since we really talked , or saw one another because of our falling out. I know I wasn't perfect, and she wasn't either, but she will always be my mom. I know if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be who I am today. No matter what happens, it'll be fun just to get out of town for a day, and run on the beach. I don't care about time. This 26.2 miles will be about reconnecting with my mom.
This came at the right time, because I feel like if I am going to be at the gym with Scott whenever I'm off, and he has a client I need goals to work on. *hehe* I know running just to keep in shape isn't a bad thing, but these kind of things keep me more motivated and make me push myself more. So now it's back to hitting the pavement again, (hopefully not too hard), and seeing where the trail and waves take me. * Eye of the Tiger starts playing in Donna's head.*
